Synopsis: Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles

Amakawa Haruto had died unexpectedly just before reuniting with a childhood friend who had gone missing five years ago. Meanwhile, Rio, who lived in the slums, was on a quest for vengeance for his mother's murder when he was just five years old. Despite having vastly different backgrounds, Rio's body suddenly became a vessel for Haruto's personality and memories, and they both had to adjust to this unexpected fusion. Rio, though, eventually decides to embrace his new reality. Rio soon discovers an enigmatic "special power" that could drastically change his life, but he's faced with a challenge right off the bat when he stumbles upon a kidnapping. He realizes he's in the Bertram Kingdom, where he saves two princesses, and as a result of his heroic act, earns a scholarship to attend the elite Royal Academy that's populated by the wealthy and powerful. However, being an impoverished orphan amongst the nobility at the academy is far from ideal.
