Synopsis: Ebichu Minds the House

The show follows Ebichu, a hamster who can talk and is deeply devoted to her owner, known only as OL (Office Lady), a 25-year-old single woman who is considered to be nearing the end of her ideal marrying age in Japanese culture. Despite OL's indifference towards her, Ebichu frequently offers her endless compliments and praise. However, OL is known to occasionally physically abuse Ebichu due to the hamster's lack of tact and propriety, often causing embarrassment in front of others. Throughout the series, Ebichu tries to correct OL's poor decisions, including her relationship with an obnoxious and untrustworthy boyfriend, nicknamed Kaishounachi (which means useless in Japanese).
